We’re proud to announce that E.R Electrical recently completed the installation of a back-up generator infrastructure installed at the George Moore Community Centre in Bourton-on-the-Water, thanks to a generous £10,000 grant from
Scottish & Southern Electricity Networks (SSEN).
The centre, owned by Bourton-on-the-Water Parish Council, is a Grade II listed building and serves as a vital meeting place for local community groups, organisations, and businesses, including the local library, Kate’s Home Nursing, and the Police Point.
Designated as a ‘place of safety’ in the Parish Council’s Emergency Plan, the new back-up generator point will ensure that the centre remains operational during emergencies, providing essential support for the community when it’s needed most.
Parish Council Chairman, Councillor Andy Roberts, expressed his gratitude, saying,
“We are delighted to receive this generous funding from SSEN and have worked with local electrical contractors E.R Electrical Services to design and install a suitable infrastructure within the building using the grant funding.”
We’re honoured to have been part of this important project, helping to enhance the resilience and safety of the George Moore Community Centre for the entire community.
